Why does the egg I’m incubating have this weird blood circle?

A blood ring is a dead egg and pheonixs arent rare at all.

I don't throw out blood rings, half of them are still alive. However this one is definitely dead.

I tossed one the other night. And...baby. :\ I will never do that again unless one stinks.

I set this egg one week ago, I saw the crack and was going to toss, but it was one that healed it's own crack, it is smoothed over, and not leaky. so I set it. i didn't even need to cover it with wax, or nail polish.

I just hatched a cracked duck egg and it hatched a couple days ago! So definitely try to hatch yours!

If the crack happens before 10 days less chance for a hatch, if it happens after 10 days and you nail polish-or wax it it will have a better chance to hatch.

I had a duck egg last year that I put under a hen, she cracked the egg day 8. I covered with nail polish and put in incubator, and it hatched fine.
