Why does this hatching thing not work for me??

It is in our laundry room. It doesnt have a door on it so it's not different than the rest of the house, and it's on the opposite side of the vent on the floor.

Away from the vibrations from the washer & dryer? Dryer vent?

Yep, other side of the room. Although it's pretty annoying to be trying to listen for peeping with an unbalanced washer in the room

I've also had 2 bad attempts and I'm on 3 as I type. Both hatches had developed chicks that didn't hatch. Very frustrated myself.

What I have fixed

1. I believed my Walmart digital $3 thermometer was correct because it agreed with my incubator and also took it out when I started the eggs. On hatch 3 and using a thermometer from my mother that's been used in several successful incubations of hers. Ran the incubator for a week prior to starting #3 and temp was actually 96 when the incubator was reading 99.5 and I now have 3 thermometers in the incubator.

2. I also had my incubator in the laundry room. Does your washing machine cause much vibration? Mine was right next to the washing machine and I was told I should find a better place to put the incubator. I don't know if that was the problem but I'm going to try it.

While the vibrations are super loud, they dont reach the incubator. I have been wanting to put it in my sisters old bedroom but come to think of it there is much more vents there.
