Why doesn’t a breeder sell locally?

Why does one of our local show breeders not offer birds or eggs within our state? I’m having a hard time understanding why this maybe?

Probably because the breeder is known locally and doesn't want someone breeding and selling their blood that has a good name. To make money off of someone else's hard work. They may not be known nationally so out of state no one would know the name

Maybe they don't want the competition?
