Why doesn’t any of my other chickens like the Silkie ?

I have taken in a Silkie about two weeks ago she is still very young about 6 or 7 weeks but I have noticed that none of my other chickens like her at all is it her size any ideas how to get her to join the flock ? Or will I have to get her, her own run ? I’ve introduced her to two of my baby chicks and she seems to be fine with them but not sure how they will react to her when they get older ! Thank you for any advice !

If you just took her in there needs to be an adjustment period for the silkie and the other chickens... They need to re-establish their pecking order. Whenever a new chicken is introduced, they usually get picked on or shunned until the new pecking order is established... This is normal.

Thank you I was worried because with her being so different they acted like they were scared of her at first I tried to put her with the ones that were the same age but that was a big nope didn’t want her to get hurt right now she is in a big cage out with them till she gets older so she is safe but wasn’t sure if I need to start making a separate run for her thank you !

I have used that method for a long time and it always works one way or another. Good luck with everything... Post pics of your chicks on here if you have them!

Thank you ! So much she is white ! They lady said she was about 6 weeks when she gave us her but she is very little so not sure if the age is true !
