Why doesn’t my modern game bird roost show interest in hens

I bought him and 2 other hens so they could be shown at our county fair and we could sell the fertile eggs or keep the chicks or even sell them but we bought them just last weekend from a poultry show and I don’t expect the hens to lay yet but when we bought them they said they were 6-8 months but he hasn’t made any sound and we have seen him have any interest and the hens and I don’t know why?
