Why ? feed chickens Cayenne Pepper .

Today after

Church I was talking to some older couples . We started talking about baby chicks

.So one Guy said He always starts feeding His Cayenne Pepper at 4 months. I ask Why ? He laughed and said it will make Them good layers

.I ask Him if He was telling Me the Truth and He Said" Yes". After He walked away I ask His Wife If He gave Cayenne Pepper to Their Chickens

and She said" Yes ! We do every Spring. Anyone else do this.??

Some people believe that Cayenne pepper helps with egg production. Generally increasing day length in the spring will help with egg production.

Someone told me to keep my hens laying in the cooler weather, to feed them cayenne pepper. Is this true?
