Why get a goose?

I need all of the best reasons to have a goose so I can convince my parents to let me have one. Would it be a problem to have a lone goose with ducks?

My geese (13 full grown Toulose) housed with 14 ducks after a HUGE fox got in their pen and killed one of my most agressive ganders one night.They were so terrorized from the attack I guess they would never go back to pen)Geese can get along with ducks very well but I personaly would feel bad if it didn't have mate of it's own kind.Just dont let them loose if your mom has garden flowers etc. They can quickly turn a greenhouse of plants into a dust bowl lol.

I would get a pair. They do enjoy company of their own kind.

The geese can help protect the ducks from predators.
They are beautiful, social and smart.
A lot of people like to raise them for food... and a goose dinner ain't cheap so if you wanted to sell them for meat there is some money in it.

But, you should get more than one. They like to be in a flock of their own.
