I have 11 laying hens 9 hens at around a year old and 2 that started laying a week previous. A month ago i was getting 6-8 eggs a day but now i am only getting around 4 eggs a day and now i have to more layers! What happened? It is late summer for me right now. I do not believe it is a egg-eater because i do not see any yolk or shells around. Do you think they are sick? I also have a guinea fowl do you think the noise might scare them? Thanks.
Any changes in husbandry practices, feed, predation? They may be about to molt and take a break in their laying cycle.
