Yes, please do!! That calf is a Holstein, he is only 2 days old there, our poor cow, we got him for her since she lost her calf, but he was toooooo tall to nurse on her, (didn't think about that when we picked him up) so we milked her then bottle fed him!!!

Those two are my favorite too. Raised the momma from a calf. She is either all longhorn or half longhorn? I can't remember. Her name is "Rowdy"
 
Y'all are talking about, for lack of a better word, PET cows.

I'm talking about a large herd (3000+) that rarely sees humans (neighbor checks on them from his truck, grass fed except in wintertime) and will break their necks and anything in their paths trying to get away if you so much as look at them the wrong way.

Still like em next to the baked potato best.

No, we have wild cows in that herd. Not 3000, but wild cows. They can be a pain in the ass, especially when rounding everyone up to go to market, worming, etc, but I LOVE having cows. I enjoy watching them, etc.
 
My parents got two young bulls? steers? when my kids were really little (about 5 and 3). My older daughter named one of them Mooey so my little daughter named "her's" 1 Mooey.

They were quite tame until I decided they smelled bad and needed a bath. Mooey took it ok but 1 Mooey about knocked me across the yard (with horns).

I'll stick with chickens!
The Mooeys were yummy though.
