Why I need to spay/neuter cats

Im on the same mission. I had a Momma Cat come to my barn last year, didnt know she had had kittens in the bushes outside my front door, with at first, I thought, just one kitten. Then I found three more in the bushes. When she was in the process of weaning, I took her and got her spayed when I worked at the vets. She hung around a while after that, but became more and more no show and actually havent seen her for around six months or more now. But no more kitties for her!! Her babies are now full grown about a year and a half now. One male I took to get nuetered I call Pywacket, since his left eye is weirdly shaped from an ulcer when he was around 3 wks old. He comes in and out of the house. I just got the sister spayed and three of the males, one which is the daddy. There is one more that I cant catch because Ive never been able to tame him so Im working on trapping. Little Bleephole!! I was able to grab him once but he became nothing but teeth and claws so I had to drop him or go to the emergency room!!!

Just knew I had to or there would be more unwanted kittens born in the world. I got the female fixed for$80 dollars and the males done for $25 at a local vets. The daddy I got done thru the Humane Society's Rover Program and paid for the neighbors dog if she would take the one cat since I had to be at work when they were due to be at the location they had scheduled for that day. Too bad I couldnt catch the last male, but his days are numbered.
You come to MY barn, your getting fixed. Heck, I even had my ex-husband neutered. <eg>
So good for you. Too bad not everyone can be as responsible. It would certainly limit the number of animals put down every year because of it.
