Why in the dark? Who buys chickens in the darK?

Makes perfect sense to me (except for that whole rooster dog thing ... ) Obviously the man realizes that chickens that roost in trees have a higher survival rate.

Sadily all I have are palm trees, or I could have the compainion breed California Desert Tree Chickens. Don't think the palms would accomidate though.

I can't believe the dog would stand for it! When I used to keep my rabbits in a colony with the EE bantams, the younger roo would always "breed" the little buck rabbit ... and would just sit there like nothing was happening. You would have thought that he didn't even notice! We used to tease the young roo, but it was not his fault ... the older roo would not let him have any hens
