Why is 6 week old Cinnamon Queen pecking and eating other chicks feathers?

Is a 4x6 coop big enough for 10 chicks? My kids want to be together except when they don't.
According to our research it is plenty big enough. Especially since they will just be sleeping in the coop. But today (for the first time -exciting!) they will be let out in the 6x12 attached run. And then every day allowed to free range for part of the day.

For 10 six week old chicks, it's fine...for 10 adult birds, I predict it will be very crowded.
But it can depend on the total run space and how weather and predator proof that run is.

According to our research it is plenty big enough.
I'm sure you've found numbers somewhere to support this,
but,
here we've all learned that even the common minimum of 4 sq ft per bird in a coop can be too small. You've already witnessed what chicks can do when crowded, believe me it's worse with adult birds.
