Why is Cricket's tail growing down?

What breed?

I am not exactly sure. DH got him from a breeder down the road as a companion for Dottie, who was a lone hatch from our WLH roo and RSL hen. DH thinks the man said either ameraucana or araucana, but is not sure and he doesn't look like either breed. Maybe an EE? He doesn't seem to have a hiney, but has these long tail feathers that grew straight down.

Others have said EE...and rooster. He's healthy and happy, but just has this weird tail.

That is strange, I wouldn't worry about it.. It looks like really weird sickle feathers...

With that type of comb it looks like an Araucana. They never grow tails instead their sickles grow down. Don't worry it is not fatal to any breed. But his body shape does look a whole lot like an Araucana. Which is what I think he is. But normally they grow ear tuffs. If he never gets any he is probably just a mix of an Araucana and another breed.

he has little tufts kinda on the side of his neck but they're really small...more like fluff.

Then he is probably an Araucana rooster. It is perfectly normal for his tail to grow downward.
