Why is it so easy to be overrun? W/ Pics of some cuties

So!!!

I've only set like 3 batches of eggs in my incubator from my own birds.... and im swamped! My brooder is basically full....and I had no idea I had more coturnix due to hatch today until I opened th ebator to turn eggs and heard the "pee pee pee!"

This batch that's in there looks like 30 some eggs.....doesnt sound like much until you're lucky and get a good hatch and have TONS of monsters running around....

I know im not the only one having this problem (hatching too many lol) but I just had to whine since it's really getting overwhelming now

The only exciting thing is im getting some funky browns and REALLY nice "black at hatch" (will be red tibetan tuxedos as adults) with NIIIIICE tuxedo markings

can always use more of those!

During all of this im also hand raising a Capuchine Pigeon squab

Ugly as ever but I know it will be pretty someday

I'll have to update here with pictures of the coturnix since its a cooler day today

^two different shades of Jumbo Browns the one on the left has what ive been calling "eyebrows" which several of my jumbo chicks have would be cool if they feather out white or even just a little bit white will be a fun project

I have 20 acres to put them on but only 2 coturnix so far. I have about 80 chickens though.

haha that would be fun! I dunno about you but im stupid and dont wear gloves so I come out looking like I jumped into a barn full of feral cats

We had planned on getting 7 chickens just for eggs for ourselves and build one chicken coop. HAHA Now we have two chicken coops (one is a spit for two different breeds) and working on our third one! It's crazy how addicting this is!
