Hey there, we are in the middle of our first hatch. We have a few in the brooder and there is one little chick that insists on chirping loud and non stop if it can not see me. Is this normal? The other chicks don’t seem to have an issue but this one insists I be visible.

It might have imprinted on you. It thinks of you as its parent. As long as it doesn;t show any signs of stress, I wouldn't be worried. But if it does, it might be too hot, too cold, hungry, thirsty, or sick. Good luck!

Now that all of the chicks have hatched, it seems to be content. It was the second chick to hatch and did not want me to leave it’s side until about 30 chicks in.
It probably felt lonely and confused. Since you were the first thing it saw when it hatched, it thinks of you as a safe place. But now that it has buddies and is more comfortable in its home, it should be calmer - just as you said it was.
