Hi, I'm writing form Colombia, and I'm new to the chicken world, I have 12 "criolla" hens with 2 roosters, that's the typical Colombian chicken race that we keep for meet and eggs, not really know the true race, not super productive but they are beautiful, mine are NOT for meet, i have them for the eggs, so my family can have fresh eggs every day, and for the pleasure of rising them! I also have a few Japanese Silkies that i watch over for a friend, pets that she can no longer keep in an urban house.

Thanks for joining and welcome to BackYard Chickens!
I think they are a mix of races, a friend that rises different types of birds commercially gifted them to me and mentioned that they may be some araucana and some other races naturally mixed in the group he keeps for his personal consumption. I love them, they are not only pretty but have a good size for their maybe 8 or 9 months.
