why is my Goose showing Aggression?

Usually it´s my females who lead, but not always. Right now it´s the gtoslings who lead. The males generally bring up the rear.
You´ll soon find out..if a pair, they´ll mate and produce fertile eggs. If it´s 2 females, they´ll try to mate and produce infertile eggs. If it´s 2 males, they will try to mate and then fight.

I think you covered it all.

Haha yea ,once two of my females mated and it was quiet odd but when males do they fight 95% of the time or they bite ones back and until one goes down and they mate which is even odder :/

wow thank you so much! all of you . when i first started this thread her ( Lucy) aggresion had just started and was mainly pointed at a lil girl i baby sit and only that lil girl . Lucy only would lead or trail behind the flock - just depended on what they were doing as to what she did ..
now shes gotten worse w age - more aggitated . more dominant. she has to take a bath first - i think so she can supervise the others - weird i know . she is a total klutz. she now putts her head down and charges w wings out to even MY older kids who shes know her whole life. she gets swatted at for doing that! ugh .

and yes the 3 pekin females are always between the 2 geese - Lady hasnt aggressive bone in her bodyit seems . shes sweet quiet and qentle... she doesnt care about anything lol except staying away from the dog and treats .

They´re behaving like a pair. And tell your kiddies not to run away, it gives the gander more confidence. Just stand their ground. I like the idea of taking a stick or mop with them, not to hit, but to push the gander? away. Geese often will be guided very nicely by sticks.

I believe that your Lucy after looking back at the pictures is a young gander. Just by the way he stands and is why I see gander actions. The other one looks more female. But with Lucy now getting aggressive to people and other things this shows me that ganders actions are showing. Females are more laid back and sweet. Ganders as they mature start acting just like Lucy is doing. Well Spring will tell the tale on who is what....

I have not been having problems with my geese. HOWEVER, my mom, sister and brother are constantly on the defense!!! I have no idea why they would be so aggressive to them, the geese (a Goose and a Gander) grew up around my family. In fact, the geese still follow me around like I'm their mother, and they are almost a year old!!! What's the matter with them?

The way people respond can make them worse.

im guessing you stayed with the geese alot when they were young and they ser you as a guardian :)

the reason they attack ur family is because they are used to you so they arent scared for people at all and will attack anything really if you only have 2 but if you get more males the geese will keep the aggresiveness on the geese and less on humans and if you have a big flock like i do you wont have that problem
