Why is my hen acting like this

I have a hen who is 2 years old that is a red star and she has been acting weird like she is very noisy her neck feathers are going up and she looks very plump up her tail goes up

That happend to my duck I feel like it's a way they want to be more attractive maybe because they want the roosters or drakes to notice them?? I'm clueless but after a while she did stop she even made wierd noises and quaked differently. But I'm pretty sure It will get better soon

Broody! Watch for her to take a nest. Is she clucking? If she pulls a vanishing act look for a hidden nest, with her setting on it.

She might be 'thinking' about it tho.

Good question....tho if you are not familiar with broody behavior, you might not recognize the vocalization for what it is.

Do you have a 'rooster'?
Will she squat down on the ground when you touch her back?
