I came out to see the chickens today to find my little GSL hen limping around the pen. Not sure what happened. ?? I brought her inside to have a better look at her leg but can’t seem to find anything wrong. Any advice?

It could be she just twisted it jumping off the roost. Ya know ... landing the wrong way. Happened to mine before. Take and post some pics and feel down her leg for any obvious injuries to see if theres more

Look at the bottom of her foot for any bumblefoot scabs, and at the joints of her foot and leg for swelling. Do you have a rooster who may have hurt her back? Could she have injured it jumping from a high perch? How old is she? Was she vaccinated for Mareks disease?

I might consider placing her in a dog crate inside the coop with food and water, to rest the leg for a day or two, and watch to see if it improves or bets worse. Pictures of the leg could also help.

Ditto Dat^^^

If limp is really bothering them by inhibiting their normal activities too much, I will isolate them in a crate to 'force' rest for a day or two. Letting them out late in day, an hour before roost time, to give them a stretch and evaluate their mobility, then decide if they need another day and put them back in crate off roost after dark. Repeat stretch and eval the next day until they are better. Keep crate in coop so bird can remain 'with' the flock.
