i felt the crop before i let them out to free range it felt good and empty and yes i put the grit on the ground so they can find it
That's good that is was empty in the morning. Re-check her again tonight, see that she is going to bed with a full crop, then again first thing - if it's empty, then her crop function is fine.
Sometimes when a bird is "off" it's a process of elimination - once you determine crop function is good, then you would move on to something else (checking her for lice/mites, having a fecal float, etc.).
