Why is my sweet Robin gasping for air and turning an odd shade of red? :(

Hi there friends, I have a problem with my rooster who's a little over a year old.
He has been having breathing complications and his face turns a purple-red color, he's had it for quite a while now and he just sits all puffed up in the henyard.
When I pick him up he starts gasping for air and then continues after I set him down, I've tried giving him chicken medicine and he throws a fit and turns even more odd-colored.
I try not to handle him as much as possible to reduce any stress, so if anyone has any ideas please help, I'm always open to answers.
Sincerely, RoosterWhisperer

Sorry about your rooster. It is possible that he has a heart problem, or possibly a respiratory disease. Aspergillosis from mold spores can cause gasping and pneumonia. What symptoms have you seen? Has there been any cough or sneeze, any mucus or cankers in his beak and throat, any eye bubbles or facial swelling around an eye? Do you have a vet who could see him? If he gets more purple when he is stressed, I would leave him alone. I would try to get him drinking some fluids, and you can put a lot of water in a small bowl of feed, but change it daily or more often.

Here is a picture, explaining it can be a bit of a challenge as he doesn't like it when I get too close...

He really turns the odd color when stressed, so I don't handle him alot

I once had a welsummer rooster who was around four yrs old, we found him lying dead in his house a couple of years ago, he probably had a heart thing because he also got breathing issues down the line and probably died in his sleep

Being able to look inside his mouth, much less down his throat is impossible

He does not have any of the following: no cough or sneeze, no mucus or cankers in his beak and throat, no eye bubbles or facial swelling around an eye.

Here are pictures of his poop if that helps, plus there are also pics of him...
