Why is she laying these?

For the last month one of my EE's is laying these eggs. She will be a year old in April. Eating layer feed with Feather Fixer mixed in with it. They have oyster shell and grit available on the side. Acts normal. Sometimes ill find a soft shelled egg on the poop board that looks like hers .

Check this out. My guess is that the specific hen has a defective shell gland or some other specific problem. If your other eggs are OK I'd consider it an individual hen problem, not a flock problem, so I would not try to treat the entire flock.

Wow, that sounds right on! Sandpaper eggs and shell less eggs, back and forth. Thanks for that! The sandpaper eggs don't have a strong shell, and I would expect them to if she's giving out the extra calcium. Weird
