Why is she perching here??

2 years ago our #1 mother hen, who is currently raising chicks with another hen, tried to hatch out golf balls when she first when broody :lau
I had one that was gonna cut the corners and try to steal the other broodies chicks, then pouted cause she got her behind kicked and set her own nest

She's 14 weeks old.
Could she be feeling lonely because our mother hen isn't still raising her? One of the hens raised her along with our other Polish.
When did the mama wean the chicks? Where is her hatchmate sleeping?

and our 3 cockerels are the same age as her so they aren't old enough to breed the hens/pullets yet.
At 14 weeks those cockerels may indeed being starting to get frisky, and that may be why this bird is staying out of the coop.

Sit and watch at roost time, may give you a better idea what is going on.
Sounds like you have many birds of different ages, not sure what you have for coop space and roosting, but that could have a significant affect.

Update:
Figured it out. She's having a hard time walking and standing. Brought her inside and checked her over but I see no injuries nor mites.
Flying Eagle just wants to lay on her side while eating and/or drinking.

She weaned them at 6 weeks old but they continued sticking by her despite her attacking them. Even now, they stick by her and her current baby chicks.
Her flock siblings that I bought with her as chicks sleep in the main flock's coop as she did before.
