Why is the text box like this?

I'm on my phone (android) on the BYC app and the writing box isn't showing any of the settings (bold, colour, spoilers etc) and it's just a box! Even when I'm writing this.

This morning I managed to send one message with a full picture and it had the bar down. But now I dont know why it disappeared

It may help if you send a screen shot of the whole page rather then just the reply box.
