Why isn't my hen laying?

I have a hen that's nearly a year old. She has layed 5ish eggs for us and that was in the spring. She didn't lay all summer and hasn't layed me an egg since. I was told she's an ameraucana and I bought her from Family Farm and Home. Any ideas why she isn't laying?

Do you free range?

Might do an exam to see if she's laying,

then confine her to the coop.

Not likely to be a real Ameraucana, probably an easter egger.
