Hello, my name is deAnn and I have an addiction.

This time it started with 5 juvie BLRW, one roo, 4 hens. When I went to get feed for them, the feed came with 3 BO pullets and 3 BR pullets. In the quest for my perfect egg color, I bought 3 Golden Cuckoo Marans one roo, 2 hens. Today, because I don't think those Cuckoos are going to lay dark enough I put in an order for 6 straight run BCM due in three weeks. I have an order in for BA's 2 roos, 6 hens, Welsummers 1roo, 4 hens, Easter Eggers 2 roos, 4 hens, due in 6 weeks. So that is total of 35 birds.
Thank goodness most can go on the back porch in brooders since my big coop is still under construction. The little coop is 4 x 8 with a 24x24 run. The big coop will be 16 x 24 with about 1200 sq ft paddock. This weather has to break or I'll be sawing lumber in the kitchen cause this puppy has got to get finished before the little coop bursts.
