Why my beloved pet rooster died

I don't know a whole lot about chickens yet, but I wanted to offer my condolences.

So sorry about your roo. If you've had it for 6 years, is it possible it had some sort of organ failure from age? Just tossing the thought around- I really don't know. But still- I am so sorry for your roo- and I am sending prayers your way!

Thanks for all the kind advice and condolences. This is a great community and im just trying to get over the demise by reading all the stories of other pet chickens here.

definitely am researching more into this "sour crop" thing.
