Why my hen quit laying

I have 2 hens old enough to lay. One, Mamma, lays everyday. Baby Girl was laying everyday, then she started brooding. She done this for about a month, without laying any eggs. She finally came out of it, but still hasn't laid an egg. It's been 3 weeks since she quit brooding. Is she ever going to lay.

She will lay once she regains the condition she lost during brooding. Some hens lose as much as half their weight while brooding.

Just a quick update, Babu Girl finally laid an egg yesterday. I was glad to finally see her lay. Thanx for the info.
