play bites me? Not sure what her reasons are but when I get settled in, she would come up running up to my chair and jump up, grabbed my arm, bites and takes off in a mad dash.

Man, it hurts! She does not do that all the time but it's getting irratating when she does it. I got very sensitive skin and any scratch or bites (never drew blood but almost).

She also play attack when I walk around the house and she would just nip me and takes off, with her tail in an upside down "U" position.

Majority of the time she is a very quiet cat and not a mean one either. She loves to sleep on my lap and purrrrrs!

What is she telling me? Why is she hurting me?

Need a cat whisperer here!

i have always popped ours on the nose for "love bites". cats just do that i think. our siamese goes nuts if you get on the phone!! its like she wants to talk too!!!

My cat does not do the Siamese talk like my first Siamese did. She is quiet and does not meow unless its for attention to get out of something she got stuck in or FOOD! i am certain her pedigree is 3/4 Siamese and 1/4 golden tabby.

When my cat was a kitten she put her mouth on me once and I popped her in the nose (Gently, I didn't hurt her!) She never tried it again! I would say either pop her in the nose when she goes to do that or keep a spray bottle on hand and spray her when she goes to bite you. I'm don't think they play bite to be mean, but I really don't like any animal to have its mouth on me! It only takes one time for them to bite a little too hard and break the skin...and cats bites are terrible!

My friend has cats that play bite and use their claws every time you go to pet them. I don't know why it seems that I am the only one who hates that! My cats never did that when they were kittens, not to us at least. They bite each other all the time.

I've had cats for 40+ years and do not tolerate it. I grab them and shove a finger into the back of the throat. Maybe the nose slap is better but I am no good at hitting, even carefully, just not in me. Recently discovered spray bottles, stops the behavior but does not seem to train the animal not to repeat it, at least for me. Never had to get rid of a cat because I couldn't stop the biting. I have to wash and Neosporin when it happens or it will get red and itch for days, just from the saliva.

We had a cat named First Class that would do things to get in trouble, so we would tell her to knock it off. Then she would take off like lightning down the hallway. No idea what this was about, other than an invitation to play. She was a very playful cat, and we really miss her.

She also loves to catch your feet when she is under the bed. If I dont trim her claws often, OUCH!

Sorry I will not stick my finger down the cat's throat. I dont want to get bitten if the cat decided to fight me.

By nature, lions would stripe the cubs' noses/faces with their paws to get them to behave or not tolerated.

I will try doing that and see what results I will have with her. My husband loves to play chase her and she loves it LOL!
