Odd that only one of my for month olds has no start of a comb growing. She's a Golden Laced Wyndotte and beautiful in every way. I just find it odd she's got no comb... see...

All the other breeds I got (BO, Barred Rock, and Welsummer) have the start of combs. Is it a breed thing or what? Any ideas? Thanks! Oh, and I'm stroking her neck to keep her calm for the picture, not stangling my little girl! hehe

I have 2 Silver Laced, and have the same issue, but w/ only one of mine. They are five weeks old. One has a definite comb, and the pretty feathering starting on her body. The other's comb looks like your chicks, obsolete! It's coloring is slightly different and it is bigger than the other one. Iam worried that it is a roo. My fingers are crossed. Although I did some looking at pictures of Wyandotte hens and roos, and both of them could have the flatter (Rose?) comb.
