why no eggs?(update and contest)

I'm going to guess the EEs. I've got a mixed flock that all turned 18 weeks earlier this week. No eggs yet. I've got red stars whose combs are beginning to get quite red. The EEs are getting a little darker too. Everyone else is still pretty pale.

isnt it the corn that can cause their temp to rise?,,, a LITTLE?
my girls will stop laying if its too hot,,, or the humidity makes it feel hotter then what it is,,,,and i would think changing their food will make em stop for a while till they get used to it.
does she move around alright?,, can you pick her up and tell if touching her around the stomach hurts her?
i aint no expert,,,have had chicks for over a year,,,but havent had any problems at all with them,, so i dont get much of a chance to see things and and how to fix them.

I don't think there is anything wrong. It has not been hot here in a while so don't think its the temps. I haven't changed their food I just stopped the scratch for a few weeks but I have been letting them have it again. They have never laid an egg I am just being

and want some eggies

It takes ALOT of patience waiting for that "first" egg. I was surprised when my black Australorp laid at 16 weeks and then one of my RIR laid at 18 weeks. I'm in FL and it's HOT here and I'm getting 4 to 5 eggs daily out of 8 hens. They range in age from 5 to 7 months so not all are laying yet. My Maran just started last Sunday. She lays gorgeous dark brown eggs! Good luck and you will get an egg soon. I'm betting on your RIRs to lay first!
