Mine are, but I'm not sure that you were asking me. When the stars got to be close to 18 weeks we switched them all over.

Yup I changed over when each one hit 19w

oh ok . Try squeezing them really hard , or threatening them like I did mine .

I gave mine until the end of this month to lay or get off the nest and they go into my big gumbo pot .

all right,,,,what ta heck are laying pellets? ,,, ive never fed mine that,,,,what does it do for them?

Its food for laying chickens. what do you feed yours?

all my birds get chicken scratch ( very little) mixed with game maintenance , and food scraps from 2 houses..hehe,, we're thinking of calling them pigs.,,and about twice a week they get a handful or 2 of the chick start,,,,,( cause they like it like a treat)
it just messes me up i guess when everyone that see's and buys them say how good of shape their in ,,and the only info i had was to feed them scratch ,,, and im still not sure what is what,,, the scratch i get isnt just those round seeds,, its got other stuff ( guess i should go read the bag hehe) mixed with it,,,,then i got the maintenance cause i saw it 1 day,,,and since have used that,,,,they get about 1/3 scratch,,and 2/3 maintenanc.

right now i have 6 laying,,1 is about 1 1/2 years old,,, the others just started laying and their 23 weeks old,,and i have about 20 chicks at 10 weeks ,, and 20 or so at 3 weeks.
ive had up to 30 or so layers,,,but they got sold,,,,,they always seem to lay when they should,,and every egg that went to the bator was good,, and they all have thick nice sized eggs,, ( well not compared to my old rir ) and ive never ( only been doing this for 2 years) had any health issues,,(knock on wood).its just that if they should have it i wanna be sure to get it.
