I have had my newer chickens since the beginning of June. I still have yet to receive and egg. I am located in Indiana so am aware this time of year is slow. They are RIR, Gold laced Wyandottes, and some other general breeds. They do have access to nesting boxes. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I've heard heavier breeds like the wyandottes tend to lay later than others. That combined with it being winter, where egg production is naturally slim to none anyways, probably wouldn't make the ideal conditions for your first eggs to come.

A worse possibility is that they are laying, but they're eating the eggs, but you'd probably find shell fragments in your coop.

Or maybe they're boys in disguise. lol

(note: i only have personal experience with the laying habits of ducks so far, that's just stuff i've heard from people smarter than me :p)
