Why oh wyandotte

I have 2 golden laced wyandottes 3 weeks old and one is about half the size of the other healthy and happy are both, actually the smaller one seems more outgoing any thoughts on why this is

Either you have a bantam or a runt. At least they're vigorous!

I didn't realize there was such a thing as a runt chicken, but what do I know !
