Why skin?

Yes.......well, really....undressed. When I get through, it's the cleanest, prettiest handfull of brest/legs you could wish for. I even take an extra 10 seconds on each one to scrub out the little lung sacs away from the rib cage with a hard bristle toothbrush. Nothing but pure meat and bones.

OK, I'll take their clothes off before I freeze them. Just thought it might be interesting to try the freezer method for plucking.

Sometimes ya just need to slow down and smell the flowers! Can skin on quail be all bad? Just looking for the simple way.

Quail skin is not bad, and is quite tasty!
It's a matter of expedience. If you are processing 5-10 quail then pluck them. If you are processing 50-150, then you may want to skin them. Either is fine. Just a matter of how many birds you are processing and how much time you have on your hands.
 
We're looking at making a Whizbang that can do Quail and chickens. Finding the softer rubber fingers will be the trick (and lots more of them)
