Why so much extra noise?????

My chickens have been very noisy lately, but mainly today. This evening around 1230 we got rid of 2 out of our 5 chickens. Now the remaining 3 seem to be loud. Are they just being loud because they miss their friends or why would they be doing this? If they do miss their friends is there a way to speed the "grieving" along?

Any ideas on why else they could be extra noise lately?

I've checked several times and it isn't because they've laid an egg they want me to collect. Is it possible it is because they are going to start laying soon? That doesn't make much sense to me but if that's the case then I can't wait!

Any ideas on how to get them to be quiet? I don't want a noise complaint and have to get rid of all my chickens! Any help is appreciated thanks in advance!

I think it is just the grieving process my chickens tend to be loud of there grieving. Though to be sure how are they acting are they sitting around or walking around calling a lot or none of the above? I don’t think you can speed up the grieving process, maybe someone knows how to (it might not be grieving it’s just sounds like grieving to me).

Well two of them will go in the coop while one stays in the run and they either sit in a hole they made or the nesting box (the ones in the coop) and when I come out to see whats wrong they temporarily stop and come into the run to see me
