Why was my hen egg bound with a small egg?

I treated my hen for being egg bound, she laid the egg, and it was just small. My chickens are very new to laying -not all are laying yet and they are all the same age- so it's typical sized for this age.

Does she have a small pelvis? Is this going to be an on-going problem?

It's too early to worry. One of our RIR's was egg bound when she tried to lay her 1st egg but once she got past that with a little help from us, she's been a little egg laying machine since.
