why was my thread moved out of where it is supposed to be

So back in December I started a January 2021 hatch a long thread. a week ago I received a notice from a moderator that my thread was moved out of the hatch a longs and placed into hatching and incubation. My question is why?

It's our process for peeps to received a private message about why a moderation action was taken (i.e., a thread moved).

If you have a question about why that happened, reply to the message you received so the moderator can explain the reason to you privately.

the problem is, once I read it and then went back the next day to ask why, the message was gone. So I can't do that unfortunately.

That's odd. Messages shouldn't disappear, especially in one day.

Either way, the best thing to do would be to click the "report" link on your message and/or contact any moderator privately (we all work as a great team, so it doesn't really matter who you message), and provide a link with your question. That will help you get the fastest response to a question related to moderation.

How do you reply to the message from admin, when there isn't the OPTION to reply to it? On the notice I got about something I posted being removed, there is no option to reply. No matter where I "click" it just goes to the thread. (I don't disagree with my post being changed. Just wanted to know for the future "just in case.) It wasn't a private message, I just got a regular notification.

The notice should say the name of the moderator that took the action... if not, let me know.

If there is a question about the action, you can start a new PM conversation with the moderator (or any moderator) about it.
