I don't want to post my true feelings because then I would be on a soap box BUT I will say that it is sad that things like murder and car accidents would take higher priority than a man that died so that we could all be free to go to buy a slushy whenever we darn well please.

i'd join the Air force if it weren't for so many family/friends forbidding me, along with other stuff i care too much about to leave behind (Girlfriend, lots of plans, etc etc).

i didn't read though all the pages but

me and dh were just talking in the car on the way home about the stories that do make the paper and the more worthy stories that don't . but i was proud of our local paper this week when they put a memorial to a firefighter's two sons who died in a fire last sat on the front page. it was the first time in some weeks crime didn't make the front page.
