Why won’t mama take care of the new ones

So two of my Easter egger chicks hatched and I gave them to a silky mama who doesn’t care for her other chicks anymore, but when I gave her these she wouldn’t let them eat and didn’t even like them and I checked on them after an hour and she pecked them to death why Is that?

I’m sorry to hear about your chicks, some hens are better at taking care of chicks that others.

You said it yourself. Your silkie stopped taking care of her chicks because they got older, meaning she stopped being in a broody/momma hen state. Just because she's been a broody in the past doesn't mean she's going to be lovey dovey with random chicks. She's still a normal hen. Also what has tapeworm got to do with this?

You can’t force a hen to adopt chicks especially one that isn’t even brooding anymore. It’s kind of like if you were to just give a kid to a random woman and be like “congrats it’s yours”. Your hen currently is like:

I know I would be too! I already have two kids if someone dropped off 2 more I would be immediately trying to return them
