Why won't my button quails lay eggs?

My Buttons are inside in my Living Room and they lay all year due to the lights being on so much. Make sure they are in pairs, have enough light, and are getting enough protein and you should start seeing eggs.

It will happen when she is ready and conditions are right.

Is there any button questions you still needed answers too?

It's ok.

Anyways, I just wanted to know, well, why my button quail won't lay an egg.

I really think she will lay when she is ready.
Buttons do take the Winter off from laying in the wild, so maybe she is waiting for spring? As in being adjusted up to 14 hours of light a day?
It is worth a try.

My adults (original layers) are 2 males and 3 females originally and they layed 3 eggs a day like clockwork. One of my females died, so now I have 2 and 2 and they are still laying fine. I have read that they do best in pairs that they actually choose and keep a mate. I just don't have room for that just yet.
