Hi, My silkie chicken went broody and hatched some chicks.
But the problem is that my hen wont get up, and wont let them go under her, so I have to put them under her.
Can someone tell me what to do? I really want her to take care of them.

She has no unhatched eggs left, she taught them how to eat, and she doesn't peck at them, chickens usually get up to let their chicks go under them. But that's not the case with this silkie hen.

How old are the chicks? Is she pecking at them when they get close to her?
They are 2 days old right now, she doesn't peck at them, she actually taught them how to eat, but she wont get up and let them go under her or her wings

I'm confused. Do you think she'll stand up, they'll all rush next to her legs, and then she'll sit on them? Usually the chicks just burrow their way under.
