Why wont my ducks go broody?

the mother of all my female ducks except for three of them went broody twice last year on april first but this year she hasn't even showed signs of being broody. There is four nests in my shed one with 20 eggs one with 14 eggs one with 10 eggs and another with 9 eggs and my girls have not an interest in those eggs!
So my question is, can you temp of try to make a duck go broody, and how. I mean broodiness is in their jeans!

Ducks, like chickens, go broody if and when they feel like it. There is no forcing them.

that blows my ideas of getting ducklings this year because to be honest whatever kind of egg goes into the incubator does not hatch it's like i don't have a green thumb in hatching!

My Ducks free range and I know where their favorite setting spots are, but they wait until they have like 30 eggs in the nest before they start and then they can even cover them all. I have 1 Buff Duck that just hatched a dozen ducklings a little over a week ago and now I have two others setting, again each had around 30 eggs in the nest and fertility has been low anyway and very few of the eggs in both nests are forming, and they both started in the same week so I am going to combine all the eggs under one hen and let the older more experienced one set some call duck eggs that I am getting. But just leave the eggs there and wait abit longer or maybe if you know which duck has which nest, maybe put about 30 eggs in one nest of the one you think would be most inclined to go broody and see if that makes her start but take the extras out and put them back in the other nest before they start forming or she may not be able to cover all of them and you will have a bunch of dudds like mine.

does it depend on their size on how much they'd have in a nest because minnie the mother duck had a nest of only 9 and she's a smaller duck

It's all about the hormones and you never know when things are going to kick in
