I know the eggs are fertile and the hen will not lay on them.
idk whats going on.
Maybe you don't have a breed of hen that is known for going Broody....Just because there are eggs in a nest doesn't mean she will set them...it's her hormones that make broody hens, if she does not want to set she won't....
so that means i should get an bator?

Well, of course you should get a bator...then you will want 2 and then and then...I'm at the oh my I need a 3rd one!!...

She might not have enough yet.
She will not sit on the eggs until she is happy with how manyshe has laid.
OTOH, broodiness is a trait that varies a lot among breeds.
