why won't my hens eat worms?

Mine would fight over a worm when they were little chicks, but now won't touch them. Go figure...

We had some left over from a fishing trip and they wouldn't touch them. Just sat back and watched them crawl away. They will fight over speghitti though...

I was surprised to see our hens scoff at worms today. The really odd thing was that they fought over a baby snake who was just as wiggly as the worms. So, for the record, our chickens will eat scorpions and snakes but won't touch a worm. Crazy chickens.

Just depends how they feel/time of year/protein needs.
Mine have gone from top hen having priority over biggest worms to, now in middle of winter, none of them being at all interested.
