Why would chicken stop walking?

Sorry, I must mention this... I never here it talked about in chicken circles. But when I volunteered at a wildlife rehab, we did have a raptor who caught west nile virus and forgot how to eat. We shoved meat down it's throat. I'm not sure what the end result was since my time was up... but I can't help but wonder if chickens face that too.

I spoke with an Extension Poultry Specialist at Auburn University who confirmed that Mareks was the most probable disease that the little gray hen was suffering from. I didn't have to cull she passed on her own the next morning. I really was not looking forward to that. He suggested incinerating or to triple bag her and bury at least 2 foot in the ground away from all water sources such as ponds, wells, etc. As for my other hens (and one Bantam rooster). They are so far doing fine, I will be praying for continued good health!

Thank you! So far so good with my flock, I won't be taking in any Hospice cases from here on out. Hard lesson learned, I just hope my girls don't have to pay the price!
