Why would she not take a drink?

Why do you think a one-year-old chicken would not drink in this hot weather? The water is cool and clean. If a chicken is not interested in water in a heatwave, why do you think that would be? The chicken refused to drink and died.

What I can think of off the top would be, that there may have been something else going on as well as the heat, or she may have been too far along in heat prostration.
