Agreed. Skim milk is where the practice started, but it wasn't given as a calcium source - only as a way to use what was a cast off farm product.

I never saw a chicken go so crazy over chicken feed, either.
Define "crazy." Put them on a regular feeding program and you will see them do some amazing things.

I say that if its not available in the garden, its not something to give your chickens.
