Why you should feed your chickens before leaving

Okay. So yesterday a sparrow died near our patio and the ants were attracted to it, so I decided to leave it there because i wanted to see how quick they would eat it. Next day, it was just a skull with a body. I had to leave to go to an art place, but I forgot to check if they had feed. Later, when i came back I saw the sparrow with the skull missing, and its body was in pieces scattered across the rocks. I knew it was them because when i came home they were begging for food, and they ate the pellets like they tasted good. (They hate the pellets). 20170622_190320.jpg 20170622_190327.jpg

Oh yeah! i cant count the times my free rangers have been caught swallowing a frog, mouse, or baby bird, and then they fight over it... whhhhy chickens? Whhhhhy must you be so lovable, yet so disgusting!?!!
