She was having a hard time breathing. I had her in my hands trying to help her and she started having convolutions and died. It was just seconds, I have no idea what happened. It was terribly sad. She was a baby
Sometimes, after all you can do, things happen. Mine get the best of care, but this year, I've lost three hens to internal laying, two more look like they may go the same way, and I lost my rooster to a reaction to a wound ointment (or he just happened to have a heart attack right after we applied it and it was coincidence). Internal laying is caused by a hormonal imbalance, so I could not have predicted it, nor stopped it and I know I didn't cause it. Still, I know how you feel. I dont like to feel helpless when it comes to my birds.
